For the first & second problem, all terms in the parenthesis change signs when there is a negative in front of the parenthesis. That what the FLIP on the expression mats is all about.  This is the new part from 7th grade.

Then you simplify finding zero pairs and removing balanced sets. Try again today with 4B. I bet the class makes it to 95%. Good luck and no helping. When Ms. Rickard gets back you will take another F&C and that one will go in PowerSchool.
